Welcome to the Fire Up Rochdale May Newsletter!

May is here, bringing longer days and new opportunities to refocus and plan ahead. And with our newsletters now arriving bi-monthly, you’ll stay updated on everything happening at Fire Up, ensuring you never miss out on key insights, events, and support.

This past week marked Mental Health Awareness Week, a time to pause and reflect on your own well-being. In this edition, we’re featuring a blog focused on mental health awareness for entrepreneurs, offering insights and strategies to help navigate the pressures associated with running your own business.

We also attended the Insider Media North West Property Awards, where Fire Up was shortlisted for Flexible Workspace Operator of the Year, this was a proud moment for our team.

Alongside this, we have put together a blog featuring the best free apps for business owners—essential tools designed to improve organisation and enhance productivity.

Recognised Among the Region's Best at the Insider Property Awards

Thursday 15th May was a glittering occasion as Fire Up attended the prestigious Insider Media Property Awards at Manchester Central. We were thrilled to be shortlisted for the Flexible Workspace Operator of the Year award.

The Property Awards celebrate the businesses, projects, and individuals driving the North West's commercial property sector forward. Hosted by the comedian Russell Kane, the evening was filled with great company, inspiring businesses, and a superb dinner (with a particularly memorable dessert!).

Although we didn't take home the award, it was an honour to be recognised alongside outstanding workspaces such as COLONY, Department, Gilbanks, and the overall winners, Bruntwood and Bruntwood SciTech.

Thank you to our colleagues from the GM Business Growth Hub, Annie Platts and Caroline Cain, for capturing some fantastic moments from the evening.

This month, we’re diving into two key topics designed to support entrepreneurs and business owners in their journey—mental health awareness and the best business apps for Business owners.
